CANON IJ Scan Utility

 IJ Scan Utility software allows you to scan photo, documents, and at the same time, you can edit the files that have been scanned to the computer. The scan utility software is available for both Windows and Mac operating systems. Download the application from the official site and install it on your system.


IJ Scan Utility on a Windows computer

On your Windows, log into the official site of Canon.

Enter Scan Utility as a keyword in the search bar.

Choose the operating system from the drop-down menu.

Click the Download button. Wait for the download process to complete.

Install the Scan Utility application in the system.

Now, turn on the printer and place the document to be scanned on the glass. Click Scan.

Start the Scan Utility on your system.

Press Start, select All apps, tap Canon Utilities, and then choose the IJ Scan Utility.

Click IJ Scan Utility again. Select Document or Phototype.

Now, the printer starts to Scan the document.


 

IJ Scan Utility on a Mac computer

Open a browser on your Mac. Enter a Model you wish to download in the search bar.

Click GO. Choose the Operating system and the version type from the drop-down menu.

Click Download. Select a location to which you want to save the downloaded file and click Save.

Once the download process is complete, open it on your Mac device.

Double-click the file to open it.

Perform the instructions as displayed on the screen to finish the installation.

Now, enable the IJ Scan Utility on your Mac.

Tap Finder next to the Apple icon. Select Go in the Finder menu and choose the Applications option.

Double-click the Canon Utilities, press IJ Scan Utility, and then select the Canon IJ Scan Utility2 icon.

The IJ Scan utility is enabled successfully.
