IJ Scan Utility or IJ Printer Utility is an application developed by Canon for making the print/scan job easier. The IJ Scan Utility enables you to scan photos and documents to your computer operating on Windows or Mac. The utility automatically saves the scanned data to a preset folder and allows you to browse through the folders of your computer, extract text from documents, and attach files to an email.

Step 1

Once you launch the utility, product name displays on the top. Make sure the correct printer or scanner is shown. You can change the product name. If you are using a network-connected printer, choose the device that is named with NETWORK.


Step 2

The Auto feature enables you to perform a quick scan and save the scanned data to a computer. Choose between the Photo and Document icons depending on what you want to scan.


Step 3

The Stitch option can be used when you are about to scan an image larger than the platen. The right and left portion of the image will be scanned separately and then combined to form the original image.


Step 4

Using the IJ Start Canon Scan Gear menu, you can make changes to the scan settings. The Settings feature will help you specify the settings for the particular scan job you are doing.

IJ Start Canon Pixma TS3122 Setup

 First, remove the protective tape that is present on top of your printer’s carton. Take all the components such as software disk and power cable out of the package. Lift the Canon PIXMA TS3122 printer from the box and keep it on a dust free surface. Find the power port on your printer and then attach the power cable. The other end of the power cable must be plugged into a wall outlet that is functioning properly. Force press the ON button to power Up your printer. Now, set all the preferences on the printer’s touch display. Open the rear tray or cassette on your printer, place enough white papers, and then close it. Install the original black and color cartridges into the respective slots. Print an alignment sheet to ensure that you have inserted the cartridges correctly.

 Follow the guidelines below to unbox the Canon Pixma TS 5120 printer and set it up. Open the Canon Pixma TS5120 printer box after cutting open the adhesive tape.
